My girlfriend has given herself 2 years to save for an FTO, anyone got any ideas for fundraising or money saving tips? Anyone else had to scrimp and save for their cars?? Any ideas much appreciated!

Its all ive been doing since i was 17! lol

Ive got a seperate current account where as soon as ive got some disposable money i transfer it to that. I dont spend out of it at all so it adds up. Selling junk on ebay is good, although ive now run out of things i dont want, lol

I saved for 8 months for my FTO. I bought an old banger in November last year and drove around in that to save money, sold all of my old clothes, bags, shoes, cd's and dvd's, anything I could bascially on ebay as well because I reaaallllllllyyyyyyyyy wanted one.........there was no way I could wait two years. I saved half the money up and then got the remainder on finance because I was too impatient.

Any ideas as to what trim she is after on the FTO? They are going pretty cheap at the moment. [if cheap is the right word]

steal how_supra's wait a week until her bf gets it lowered (which he probably doesnt know he's doin yet )

he he, he's taken the news rather well I thought

Overtime, nightshifts were the main money raisers, then boot sales etc. I have to add that these measures were not only for my various Supra's but to help keep my head above water during a very messy divorce  :complain:

E Bay is another good way of raising extra cash by selling off unwanted items.
