Tricky-Ricky
Can anyone recommend one that i can replace my sky modem/router with, thats not going to cost loads, but is still fairly reliable, would prefer one with a USB port as well, if possible but can do without. creative
I picked up a NetgearDGN2200 recently for not alot. ($100) Great bit of kit and works perfectly!
a98pmalcolm
My sky router is good, do you have an older sky router or something? My advice would be this one: http://www.pcworld.co.uk/gbuk/linksys-wag120n-wireless-n-adsl-router-03701124-pdt.html The Linksys routers and adapters are easy to set up and work well. I have set one of these routers up b4 and works well
Tricky-Ricky
No my sky router is OK but i just want something faster as the wireless is not all that, and i use Ethernet to stream video etc, so i might as well kill two birds so to speak, thanks for the suggestion's guys, I'll have a look at them. Sky actually do a new N router/modem but its not gigabit and i would rather buy a dedicated one, than give them yet more money.
johnny g
I'd look at the Buffalo AirStations. They're 300Mbit Wireless N, but also have a 4 port gigabit switch in them.

JustGav
EDIMax... VERY cheap, and suprisingly reliable little units, very feature rich. Failing that, look what is on the DD-WRT supported list and get something that will run the firmware

I tested a Edimax print server and found it to be a little crappy plus it didnt understand layer 3. Think i have been spoilt with Cisco
Tricky-Ricky
Just a thought on this, could i just plug a straight gigabit/N router into my original sky modem/router and benefit from higher speeds, without any other problems, it would be a cheaper option if it works?
