sleeving for stock pistons?

Recommended Posts

Hi guys!

A question for the experienced.

I have a 2JZGTE block and 1 cylinder has too much damage. Is it wise/possible to let the machine-shop drill out the cylinder and press a sleeve in which could fit a stock piston? Or is this not done on a 2JZGTE?

The machine-shop has come up with this solution, but some say it's not possible and possibly never done on a 2JZGTE?

Thanks!
