Dnk
Rims have been sent to SSR, they are changing all the lips... Going to fit the stock rims on tomorrow and bring the car home... Mistakes happen and they suk but you can't ask for a better responce in my opinion. How many places here would have even owned up to doing the damage in the first place. Most likely 1 out of 10 garages, then they would have argued that they know Bob who can refurb them to a high quality (for £40).
marc_p
No chance of that happening in the UK.
marc_p
No chance of that happening in the UK. The repair I mean, they would just damage them then try and hide it.
gavin.starr
I wouldnt bother to ask for any favours, They owned up to it and have sorted out the issue. In my eyes they are a good garage and i would like to keep it as that. Then later down the line they will think the same if you take your car back for more work. If you mess them about now asking for some form of compensation they probably wont tell you if the mess anything up in the future.

Next people will be insuring wheels separately. Then garages stop doing cars with non stock wheels. Insurance prices rise with scum claiming compensation when they curbed them picking up there 6 children from there sister/wife... You will get much better treatment in future if you tell them you appreciate them telling you and being honest.
Chris Wilson
I think if we all had paid "compo" for every mistake we have made in life we'd be very poor indeed. Can't anyone make an honest mistake and make good their error without people wanting compensation as well these days? I must be getting old, just had two Jehovah's Witnesses round, a couple of years back I'd probably have slung them off the drive, but they were so charming I actually engaged them in polite conversation for half an hour. Then I chucked `em out

Scott
Must admit, that garage sounds absolutely fantastic. I certainly wouldnt be asking for compensation, i would be thanking them for owning up and taking responsibility of the situation. I would happily take my car to a garage like that. I agree with you Scott.. They have given me the best possible service, given the situation...Only 3 wheels are damaged, and they replacing the lips on all of them, just to make sure... They acted quickly, rims are already at SSR... Given the fact they are doing the spraywork and arranging the export of my car, I wont be asking them for any compensation.. I need their service in the future, so I rather keep good relations..
marcAB10
Seems like an extremely professional garage, mistakes can be made, it's how you deal with it that matters.
