I'm from the Borders (further East), plenty mountain biking over that way too. Other than that, nothing much I'm afraid!! Some nice scenery and drives around but that's pretty much it. I recall having copious amounts of beer and dancing with what I thought was a young lady, only to find that when the lights came on the clientèle resembled those from the bar in Star Wars!
