add heywood
On my last bumper there were little sticky fixers with a piece of bendy metal stuck to them (so you could bend the metal through the mesh). Any ideas where I could get some, or how have everone else stuck their mesh to the bumper?
Dnk
I bought a length of aluminium angle strip, 25 mm x 25 mm by 1 metre long, i cut this into 25 mm lengths Drill an 8 mm diameter hole in one side and then bond the other to the inside of the bumper with tiger seal or similar. Then cable tie the mesh through the hole, i used approx 6 top and bottom, its been perfect for a few years now Heres a bit of a poor sketch to explain what i did and the end result showing you cant see the fixings + you dont damage the bumper and the mesh is easily removed Edited August 25, 2011 by Dnk (see edit history)
Chris Wilson
http://www.hellermanntyton.co.uk/products?q=&path=WWW11CableTiesandFixings&page=3&offset=50 You can get metal ones, I thing Raceparts UK stock those. If the surfaces are not clinically clean and warm, they don't stick. I use them all the time, and the secret is cleanliness and warmth. The metal ones are slightly slimmer. They can also be neatly rivetted on.
