_Shane_
hi lads i recently purchased an intake from a member on here who was very nice to deal with, deal done and intake shipped to garage where my car is currently getting the single turbo kit fitted, upgraded fuel kit etc and Colin @ SSI rang me earlier to inform me the intake manifold arrived but it was damaged here are some pics now my question is can this be fixed, i.e mig welded or is it beyond repairable ? The seller has offered me a full refund if i send this back Opinions please Thanks Shane
vertex
personal opinion (not professional), send it back for a refund so the sender can claim against the courier. the last thing you need is to worry about a weld holding at full chat. Bailey.
Surely if it does get welded properly and the face is kept perfectly true, there shouldn't be a problem??!
Scott
Welding it should be fine but it would need re-machined for flatness and maybe even the injector hole. More hassle than it's worth IMO.
Geo
IMO if that was me being sent that, no way would i be getting it repaired, you bought the item thinking it was in good nic. Would you buy a Tv that had loads of missing pixels??? EM NO!!!!!
_Shane_
this is no dig towards the seller as he has offered me a full refund and for me to send it back, i really wanted it for my car so wanted to know if it was worth welding etc and fitting it to the car
Jellybean
I would send it back Shane, I was going to get my Oil cooler re-welded (tiny leak coming through one of the welds) but was advised against it. Alot of pressure to be put on a weld

Chris Wilson
You could get it TIG welded and grind out any intrusions on the inside, but I would probably glue it back together it were mine.
