probrox
Did you advertise him as a stud dog, or was it with someone you know? I'm looking to stud out my Bernese but unsure of the best way to go about it. Edit: And congrats to your dog
l33wgn
Hey yeah someone I know, just seen he was looking for a stud on facebook of all places And thanks
tbourner
Best way to stud is to ask breeders from clubs. You could advertise normally but you'll get all sorts of numptees asking to use him, you want to go with a proper bitch with some show history ideally (if yours has show history of course). probrox
MIne doesn't have show history but i have been told he has very good markings, so ideally I would want him to breed with a similar bitch. I'm in the process of signing up to the BErnese Club of Great Britain so hopefully I will find some good breeders on there. Thanks for the help. tbourner
I don't know anything about Berneses (or Boxers for that matter) but with Husky breeds the best breeders will only want to use your stud if you have show wins and working championships under your belt, looks good on the puppy's pedigree then, they don't put markings and temperament on the pedigree unfortunately!
