imi
looks like an attractive price. other than the K&N Filter I dont recognise any of the other brands within the kit. Wonder what the quality of the turbo and its reliability actually are.

Marty
Holset turbo's are getting much more popular on modified cars nowadays, very reliable, cheap to refurbish and make great power, tricky finding one with the right size exhaust housing though, most too big. You see a lot of modified high powered cars running holsets abroad, sweden, finland etc. Krister had one on his at one point. Think i'd shy away from the xs power stuff on that kit though (wastegate, manifold)...
imi
do a search on XS power, I think I remember that their turbos were rubbish however the manifold wasn't all that bad....
mattysupra
thanks for the replies everyone. The kit for sale on here i dont lik the look of as there does not seem to be any poper power figures for that turbo on a supra. Also as for XS power, ye i have been through a few manifolds before. Always cracking. I may be tempted by a cast manifold. There is one for sale on here but untill i now what turbo i use i dont want to buy it. Swampy442
Its apparantly GT30 sized so should see you past 500hp
kwalker705
I regards to the manifold I'm selling with the kit. If you have a look at the pictures on my for sale thread. You'll see I had the manifold braced up from the engine flange to the turbo flange. This should hopefully stop any of the cracking that was associated with the xs power manifold. The welding was all done by a proffesional tig welder and the manifold is a very very sturdy piece. give the kit a bash. At the worst you can change it for a cast one if you need to down the line
mattysupra
Its apparantly GT30 sized so should see you past 500hp Wheel or flywheel ? im looking for a kit that will give around 550 bhp at the wheels on 95ron fuel.
Swampy442
So you want around 700hp then? Why is whp important? That turbo will be no good, you'll need something larger, quite a bit larger. And a larger fuel system.
Ricky49
Give Whifbitz nearly £4000 of your hard earned pennies and buy one of their kits. Job done
SteveL
I have a 'spare' GT4088 at whifbitz - Paul should be able to put together a kit to go with it? Give him a shout and ask for a kit price with my turbo...

kwalker705
Cant beat whiffbits turbo kits, best on the market couldnt agree more with that one. Each kit is a work of art !!! I still think mattysupra should by my kit to use in the mean time till he gets himself a whifbitz kit

Rob_Mitchell
mmmmmm thats a bold statement to come out with ok best value for money kits...... HKS show off
Ricky49
ok best value for money kits...... HKS show off Nothing to do with me having HKS, Im not saying it's not a good kit just there are many companies out there who have been doing it longer and proberbly have more R+D. I was choosing between the Whifbitz kit or HKS when I was looking, the price Lee got me made it a simple decision. It's just my 2pence worth. mattysupra
So you want around 700hp then? Why is whp important? That turbo will be no good, you'll need something larger, quite a bit larger. And a larger fuel system. I like to work on WHP rather than flywheel. Flywheel is to much of a guess unless done on a engine dyno. For instance i say i want around 550 whp and you say so around 700 then? There is no way 550whp works out to 700 flywheel power. I would guess 550whp will be around 590-600 bhp at the flywheel. Hence i work on WHP. Also im looking at around that power as i think that is around ideal power in a track car with a easy life on the engine and from experience on my skyline etc it normally works out that if you have a turbo that makes more power than that you get lag along with it. Obviously the torque i would like closely matched to 550 ish also. And dont worry about the fuel system etc i have all that sorted thanks.
Paul Whiffin
I have a low mileage twin wastegate manifold with 2x 45mm Turbosmart wastegates available if needed, that and a used GT4088R (which has just had a rebuild with a new ex housing) would make a great combo. Let me know if your interested.
