Paul
Couple of questions, looking to replace my vacuum hoses, currently got blue silicone ones on but want to go back to a more stock look. Never had a problem with the silicon hoses but I guess OEM would be best, any idea of the sort of cost for replacing all the vac hoses, is there a kit or are they individual part numbers? Also want something a little better than cable ties to secure them, I've used twin ear 'O' clips before but would the single ear ones be OK as I can hide the crimped part on the underside of the hose? Looking at this sort of thing: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Hose-O-Clips-Stainless-7-8-2mm-O-D-pack-4-/160453661388?pt=UK_Air_Tools_and_Compressors&hash=item255bc892cc
jimwire
I'm also interested in doing this but want to get the correct hoses. Subscribed.
Swampy442
Not sure theres a kit as such. Just source a supplier of good quality rubber hose in the correct diameters, cut to the correct sizes, et voila

Toyota must sell them still, would be a case of getting a list of part numbers though.
Dnk
Speak to the specialist hose suppliers, they all do vac hose along with normal silicon hose in matching colours. Just buy a length of the correct internal diameter hose and cut it yourself to the required length with a stanley blade, etc When doing this do one hose at a time http://www.merlinmotorsport.co.uk - Samco http://www.viperperformance.co.uk - own make http://www.sfsperformance.co.uk - own make Edited August 22, 2011 by Dnk (see edit history)

Of course you could do that But sure it would be more cost effective to get a length or couple of lengths different diameters of hose. Most of the smaller diameter silicone hoses tend to be silicone only with no reinforcement, not got a problem with this but if there are better alternatives then that's what this thread is about. edit: anyone got any thoughts on the 'O' clips? Si_s Supe
I bought all my hose from my local motor factors. Swapped them all on by on...sorted. There are 2 or 3 that you'll need to get from Mr T though as the bends are too tight and they kink!
Chris Wilson
Gates and Wurth supply good hose in the right materials, with the right ID's. You need to buy a small reel though, I don't think either will chop one up.

Chris Wilson
Wurth have reps in vans. Gates may have an online supply, not sure. Most good auto factors have hose on reels, have a ring around.
