seba
Hey peeps hopefully someone can help me out here as i'm clueless. Supra has been standing still for a month. But i allready noticed a month ago that my radio would go on and of continuously, then a week later the indicators just would keep going on and of. Now i wanted to get the car ready and thought maybe it's just the radio that's giving an electrical fault and disconnected it, took it out, still the indicators (all of them) keep flashing. The weird thing is the left side indicators are flashing but the right side ones just burn continuously without flashing. Even when i get out of the car and lock it, so the key is not in the contact and even then they keep flashing. There are no warning lights at all that go on in the car, but they all function as they light up when i put the key in the contact. Only the indicatorlights on the dash go on and of. Also there are some stops, indicators stop flashing for about 10 seconds then start again, but the ones on the right side don't stop at all. Car drives without problems, all lights etc work. The supra has an immobiliser but this one seems to be working fine. Also i allready tried a different batterie, same problem. Any ideas? Thx allready
merckx
I've heard that some car alarms can cause problems if the battery is allowed to drain, obviously the alarm is wired into the indicators. That's what I would look at first, you could try disconnecting the alarm from the indicator wiring if you can find the wires where the connection is made. Well i did leave the batterie disconnected for about 3 weeks, might be the problem? But finding the wires for connection to indicators seems like a difficult job for me. I did find the alarm i think it was on top of the radio, could it be just some wires on the back of that?
merckx
The wires on my alarm were all black with labels on that get removed during installation. The indicator wires could be connected in a few different locations, you can only try and trace them.
