I put my last caps on with a spanner & some vaseline. They got stuck :( to make matters worse it was on my BBS rims with alloy valves, now i have big black rubber valves because no one had the alloy valves.

I brought them spanner tightening ones but some kid tried too hard to take them off & damaged the valve which leaked air & caused my tyre to be flat. As I was away working that week when I returned the tyre sidewall was damaged from sitting flat, so I had to replace a £150 tyre which had only covered 500 miles!

Stick with the cheap plastic ones.

The dual zone proximity on my alarm stopped that :)

I also got some with a capacitor inside which gives a lovely jolt if touched with bare hands, just dont forget when going to check tyre pressures!

Been there many times myself. Now I have the ones that need a little tool to remove them which you keep in the glovebox. Without the tool they just spin round and round. Had them several years now, no problems.

Yup, got the same ones and never had a problem.
