David P
Excuse the delay, due to a selection of bereavements and holidays, today is the first chance I've had to see Toyota Guru Bob and this is what I learned. Mr T. in 1993, made a 'few' MR2 V6 MkII's, available with auto transmission only, Japanese market only, probably marketed through one of their sub-corporates not with a Toyota badge, but maybe Vista, Cresta, or a few others he couldn't remember, these could possibly have been special commissions from the Arakawa Bodyworks. In Japan, Toyota sell a greater variety of cars under dozens of different badges, marketing works differently there. Best next place to search for more info, Toyota Museum, Tokyo. There you go. jonathanc
If you push them even the slightest bit over the edge they will snap on you and spin you into a ditch. The Supra lets you know it's about to give and then gives you a couple of tenths to get things in order before trying to kill you. I can vouch for that
David P
There is one Toyota MR2 Model AW11(1984, Japan) on display there, but can't find any history for the marque. I am sure if someone wrote and asked them, they would send the info.
