Coolant bypass hose for oil-cooler delete

The stud I refer to is indeed the Whifbitz one you both mention. I am just going to put a thermostatic sandwhich plate and K&N larger oil filter on.

My main concern is making sure I deal with removing the stock cooling pipes correctly. Hodge I have had a gander at your thread and have a good idea. My engine is in millions of bits and about to go to dude for rebore and balancing etc.

Scott I will look out for your updates mate.

Cheers guys.

The head doesn't need to come off to remove the water pipe. Just take the water lines off to the matrix undo the nuts on the back of the pump and 2 10mm bolts under the intake that hold the pipe to the block and slide it over the head. Simples :-)

That sorts that then :D

No worries mate, I'm happy to detail any part of the build that anyone wants. Not had a lot of questions on it hence why I'm just sticking up a pic or 2 per day I'm working on it :)

I want to bump this thread. Is the N/A bracket and TT bracket identical if I remove the cooler? Can I attach my oil filter on my TT bracket when the cooler is removed?

The bracket is the same but the bolt is longer as it has to go through the cooler first before it screws into the filter. You will need the bolt from an N/A. Personally I'd remove the housing altogether and just bolt the filter direct to the block with an adaptor bolt. whiffbitz sell these for about £20 IIRC.
