Guest BradMD
Hi, i've been looking around for a set belts to swap all of the belts on my mk4 supra, not sure how many there are as i don't have the car with me but I found this kit on eBay, does anyone know if this kit has all the belts as i don't know how many there are and is it at a good price? Also if someone has some new belts that their not using and would sell for cheaper pm me? Thanks Brad

tony tt
I'd buy the belts new if you can bud last thing you need is one snapping! Wouldn't trust eBay for them IMO.
jonc
Hi Brad, I would steer clear of Ebay items unless they are from a known specialist. There are too many chinese parts on that site which will only last 5 minutes. Best bet for Supra's is Toyota or known specialist traders. If you are a paid up member then look here where there are good Toyota traders with brilliant discounts who know their apples: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/forumdisplay.php?24-Members-Chat Or these guys who are specialists and supply top quality parts: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/forumdisplay.php?9-Authorised-Traders Fensport also do a lot of Supra stuff: http://www.fensport.co.uk/Parts/Model_37/ And Keron is a big help for 2nd hand spares: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?235140-Kerons-big-parts-Bonanza!!-Aftermarket-stuff-and-some-oem-stuff For new service items I always go OEM. Guest BradMD
Can it be that bad? How much are the OEM ones from toyota, or anyone know an actual shop that sells them fairly cheap, link?
Scott
Cheap doesn't work with Supras bud. Using crap parts on a performance car like this is just insane IMO. An OEM timing belt is about £20, an OEM aux belt is about £40.
Guest BradMD
I'll give toyota a ring and see how much they want for the timing belt and maybe the aux ones too then, if its alright i'll take it from them

Swampy442
Cheap cam belts? Do you also buy Halfords oil filters and Cheng Shin teflon tyres? Just go to Toyota, theyre about 30 quid I think.
Chris Wilson
The cam tensioner assembly in the Ebay ad is OE assuming it's not a copy part in a copy box. I would get known make belts, what's the point in all that labour to fit a belt from Korea no one seems to have even heard of the make? I spotted a few of them on ebay and decided to go with Toyota which is a lot more expensive. I assumed they would be in a Toyota box? Scott
they are japenese Go for it mate, best of luck to you You asked a question and every reply has said not to go for it yet you seem set on doing so. There's not a lot else to be said on the matter I'm afraid.
Chris Wilson
Koyo are a high end bearing manufacturer, so if you are happy the box and contents are legit Koyo there shouldn't be an issue. A lot of OE Toyota stuff is by Koyo. Toyota, despite their vast size, won't make their own ball and roller bearings, they will buy them in from a specialist.
