Anyone have any tips or advice on keeping the intercooler piping cooler, perferbly turbo side. If i start the car from cold and drive minimum 30mph without stopping and open up the turbos it feels very very fast compare to normal. If i stop for a minute and go again the temprature under the bonnet heats up the intake piping so much that i loose so much power!

It depends on your intercooler piping, do you have a front mount or the o/e smic ?

The pic i posted is my uk airbox with my own hard pipe kit, i have an FMIC and its a squeeze but it all fits

with no mods to the airbox.

Heres a pic with the top of the airbox removed showing the top feed to the right

Heat pick up in a fast moving column of air from the internal walls of IC tubing is negligible, it's moving too fast and in a huge volume. David will diagree, or even murder me, but in my opinion it's a waste of time. If you feel the pipes when it's on boost they will be at virtually intake air temperature. You won't see any IC pipe lagging on Le Mans turbo charged sports prototypes, and it's not because they are short of money or lazy.
