RedM
From the Clifford site I read that the Concept 600 system lists Blackjax as a feature. Is this as standard or do you have to specify it as an optional add-in at installation/purchase? To me it appears to be there as standard but not activated. Am I correct? If not, approx. how much is Blackjax as an add-on? Thank you,

RedM
That's how I read it but erm, (how can I put this without giving away my big day?) I know a guy with a car that won't have that car in a few days time and he doesn't think he has Blackjax. If I was to somehow be in this car in a few days time I'm guessing I should go and get it checked out.
Pete
Only thing you have to ensure that's enabled is : RPM Monitoring This is required for both RPM-activated automatic door locking and for BlackJax anti-carjacking fea tures. See the RPM Monitoring section in this binder for information.

So - you're planning to hijack a car and you want to know if it's going to stop on you?
RedM
It has the RPM door locking thing enabled. That much I know.

Yeah, I've come up with this nice way of hijacking a car. It involves handing the owner several thousands of pounds and he gives you the car. Think I'll get away with it? RedM
It's the money part innit? I'm always getting stuff wrong. Anyway, speaking of hijacking, I believe I've hijacked my own thread. Doh!
Pete
Check this thread for the docs if you've not got them already... http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=42537&highlight=clifford Tells you how to activate and install everything. RedM
Cheers for that. TBH I'm a bit crap with setting stuff like that up so I might just pay someone to do it or I'll end up not being able to drive my car.
Pete
I thought that when I got mine but took the plunge. Just do it a little bit at a time and you'll find it's actually not as hard as it seems. Just make sure you've got the PIN code as you'll be stuffed without it!
RedM
Is the PIN code the one mentioned that is on the back of the manual? If not, should the seller know it and pass it on to me?
Pete
Is the PIN code the one mentioned that is on the back of the manual? If not, should the seller know it and pass it on to me? There is a place to write it on the manual I think. But the owner should definately have it. Otherwise you'll have to reset the system somehow I guess. Don't know if it says in that manual. leonv
If the Seller has no information or codes you will have to have the box taken out and sent to Clifford for a SMALL fee of £80.00 they will reissue codes....I had to do it with mine. Alternatively, contact me and I can probably sort it out for a fraction of that cost!
