Jamesy
Whats the crack with vmax? Obviously if this turns into a 'club' event id attend but unsure if id compete in the mile race
Oddball87
I am up for this next year if you do one, I will have finshed my bulid by then i hope
Guigsy
I'd be interested to see what my car does. But with all the previous breakages at the last 2 thunder roads I'd be nervous. My rear caliper gave up last time I did one and was dangling arround on one bolt. And my bonnet almost came up at 150+mph!
DARETT
If an event could be organised, I'm sure we'll have a great turnout. Maybe similar to Suprapod, and other marques would definitely be interested. It would be great to try and break Tommy banh's record in the UK!!! David P
I was disappointed not to be done and dusted in time for a run at Suprapod, maybe this event could be the début?

JamieP
Just found out there is a mile event at Elvington today, looks like they do a few 1/2 and 1 mile events. http://www.straightliners-events.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=143 No screamer pipes and 101db limit, looks like europe may be the only option for a proper event now. David P
Why is it only a 'proper event' that allows you to be too loud?

Guigsy
It restricts modified cars. I don think many owners of stock cars want to see the top speed. They can read the manual for that
David P
It doesn't seem to bother F1 cars or Veyrons too much.

I can't believe in the whole of England we don't have 2 miles of spare land we could use. Maybe the club should set one up? Surely all we need is a good surface & a decent time tracking system?!? Don't understand how these events cost £50k+ to the organisers.

Guigsy
I wouldn't want to run my car at those speeds at 100% throttle for that long tbh
