ADD
The leakdown and compression check will tell you. If the results are low, there is some trick where you add some oil to the cylinder via the spark plug hole and retest - if the compression goes back up, you've got worn rings/bore and the oil is helping seal it. (If it doesn't go up it's a valve leak) Ok Ian thanks allot for your help and info. Should I be driving it at the moment? Ad
dude
Ok Ian thanks allot for your help and info. Should I be driving it at the moment? Ad You need to get a leakdown test done NOT a compression test, if the test shows wear then whoever is doing it should be able to narrow down where its leaking, if you hear a hiss from the inlet manifold it is an inlet valve, if it hisses out the exhaust pipe it is an exhaust valve and if its out the dipstick or oil filler it is rings, none of this will tell you if the oil control rings are worn, BUT if all else seems fine then that is the logical fault. All of the them are the same.Soorya bout quality. As you can see the rim is extremely burnt and it stinks of fuel and oil.
