DamanC
Think I need to take a couple on a hoon... .....and now I want one! Appreciate the tips, The Porsche GB forum is definitely a bit more lively than the others although quiet in to comparison to here.
cossack
i had a 2004 996 c4s, got rid after hearing anything other than the turbo models can shit themselves due to the intermediate shaft! the 996 is not really held in high regard due to it being water cooled and mass produced, just look at the price of a 993 turbo compared to the 996, all in all, id say the 996 is the only reliable one you are gona get in your price range, full psh and warrenty is must if buying one! if not i hope you have deep pockets if it goes wrong, i had a lamda sensor, a small condensing rad replaced and a brake fluid change and it was 1200 from a opc
Havard
I went through a phase where I really wanted a 996 Turbo and recently I have not been that keen. Ended up with a yellow GT3 behind me on the M62 today and it sounded terrific as it roared past. I may have found the love again...!! H.
