Any decent small automatics for £2000?

My sister is looking to upgrade her car ahead of her first child, so she wants something small but more modern and safer for the baby (she has a old 106 at the moment). Is there anything on the market for around £2000 that anyone knows off, preferably something 02 or newer with good reliability. Has to be Automatic though as she has the Auto liscence  She's looking at a 1.4 Nissan Micra at the moment, but i'm not convinced there all that reliable. Any suggestions?

I've told her to do just that Dnk, i've been out all day so i couldnt have a look for her. Just wondered if there was anything that stood out that someone on here can vouch for. I can easily find her tonnes of auto's for 2k on Autotrader, i just want to make sure she gets something good :)

Is it an Auto Rob??

Yeah i would go starlet, yaris, civic ect but personally i wouldn't touch a polo as any i have dealt with have had a number of things wrong. Only one was auto though but with only a genuine 55000 on the clock (my grans car) the auto box would be very violent when cold.
