Marco79
For those that haven't been to Pod before, or those that have never done any drag racing, we'll be doing a prep talk at 10am to explain how the day works. Probably Branners or myself. If you have any questions about the day, just approach one of the folks wearing the black polo's with "club official" on the back. Will be my first time at this event aswell but prob won't be getting there till 10.30, if i approach a black polo shirt will they give me a catch up on the info? sideexitsupra
Right, just paid another £55 so I can now go on the strip. This could be interesting but wanted to be sure you could all hear the side exits at full chat. Maybe I should ask Mr Whiffin for a contribution? Yeah right!! Looking forward to this now. Down to Whifbitz for some carbon bling tomorrow!

As discussed on PM, yes, just approach one of us and we'll give a run down on the event and offer some advice (if you need it ). If time allows I can take some newbie's out as a passenger to show them how it works. There are plenty of drag racing experts around too so don't be afraid to ask the likes of dude, Stuartw, JamieP, tDR, etc for advice, they're all great guys and I'm sure will be happy to offer some guidance to newcomers. vertex
been to the pod a few years ago, but not in anything as powerful as the aristo. they let passengers down the strip? one thing I've never understood was the fact you need to show a full drivers licence? even though its not on public road? Paul R
Hmm.....I've been out of the car scene for years and never drag raced. I wouldnt mind going! I'll see if I can get the mother in law to have my two youngest kids. do you think it will be ok for an 8 year old to go down the strip as a passenger? Also, do you need helmets? bradleyh_15
What about covered arms, or are t shirts ok? You need long sleeve unfortunately in 2009 it was roasting and it was so so hot in long sleeves and waiting to drag
