Anyone on here go to this?

I did my first BMF session last night at the local park, got to say it was one of the hardest workouts/training sessions I have ever done. It was however very enjoyable and I now cant wait for the next one!

I would Highly recomend it if you want to get fit.

This morning I feel like hammered s***t, and muscles are aching that I never knew I had.

Cant wait for the next session :):):)

Yep, I have done it off and on for about two years. I have to stop now though :( because the new shift times that have been given to us mean for my £42 a month I can only attend 6 times a month now instead of 3 times a week!!!! (Poxy Fire Brigade!!!)

They also run all sorts of extra fun runs and fun days and piss ups! Also ......lots of chicks!

i dont get it either? what do you actually do for it? i doubt its anything like what we do for our pt sessions

i dont know anyone crazy enough to pay to do 8-12 mile tabs 4-10 mile long steady state runs circuits and log runs or battle pt because its actually quite boring

apart from battle pt i do like that

you would probably get more benefit from the gym and swimming and running

i think log runs do more damage than work on fitness , cant even remember the last battle PT sesh i did

I'll never forget doing a log run and we had a guy over from UAE and was a lazy sod and would only run by the side of the log, any way the Ssgt shouted at him to shift his arse and get on the log, which he did, however............. i was at the front and did not expect 12 stone of guy plus webbing to jump on the log, I collapsed in the ditch due to the extra weight lol.

LOL! in my case it would have to be Dominoes

As long as you have a diet coke with that then you'll be fine. On a serious note but when I first joined the army I had aspirations of being a thick-set chappie like one of those Rambo fellows. It didn't quite go like that and I turned in to an anorexic-looking racing snake. It didn't help at one stage of my life when I was only consuming 3000 cals a day and burning at least twice as many due to fitness and fatigue. That's one way to see your bones poke through your flesh; believe me! I then discovered a place which civilians call "The Pie Shop" and I never looked back. I was at 19-stone before the year was out.

Pies make sense!

Pies are good!

im not expecting to become some sort of Military machine, but its suits be fine, I dont enjoy the gym and im outside with someone continually pushing you to work hard.

Works for me, Im in no doubt that its not a patch on proper armed forces PT sessions but is proving a good way to get my fitness levels up and fast.

Good on yer buddy. An increased and better trained metabolism will give more scope for increased pie eating. Like your style.
