l33wgn
No code has to be inserted here. pistonheads isnt letting me place a standard ad for some reason?? Ok well thanks for reading my advert,1997 well what can i tell you that you dont already know? Maybe that it was the year molly the sheep was successfully cloned or that Pablo Picasso's Tête de Femme was stolen from a London gallery! possibly you didnt even realise that 1997 was the beginning of the end for the uk economy as tony blair was voted into number 10. anyway i digress whats important here is that although lots of bad things happened in 1997 there was also some good to balance it out mainly that this little beauty rolled off the production line! now then lets tell you a little about the car, it is a 1997 ( one of fords finest years im sure you'll agree ) 1.25 zetec engined ford fiesta GHIA ( i put ghia in caps because it really is that big of a deal !) now i know your salavating at the mere thought you may be able to purchase this car but i insist you calm your excitement while i run throught the fantastic spec of this fabulous vehicle. Front electric windows ....that work Rear winding windows .... that also work Sunroof .... keeps out the water lets in the sun! An estimated 0 - 60 of 3.2 seconds Power steering .... it works so you dont have to. Original ford stereo with cd changer button. An estimated top speed of 167mph Remote central locking .... with 2 keys and 2 spare keys all original! ABS .... because you care A 5 speed manual gear box ( it is the ghia afterall ) A dash that both looks and smells like rich mahogany .... to the untrained eye Velure upholstry .... to impress the ladies Body coloured bumpers .... again its a ghia! Last but certainly not least we have the original ford headlight protectors, ive heard ghia enthusiasts have been known to pay upwards of seven thousand pounds for a set of these!! Now onto the economy of this legend of a fiesta, Fuel consumption (urban) 31.7 mpg Fuel consumption (extra urban) 50.4 mpg Fuel consumption (combined) 41.5 mpg all in all i get around 400 miles from 38 pounds worth of fuel!! tax is only £130 for the year and its insurance group 9 all in all this car will make you money in the long run, dont think of the initial cost but the long term savings whilst you enjoy the comfort of the velour seats! Reason for sale is simple really, as much as ive come to love this car in the short time we've been together, my girlfriend is forcing me to sell as apparantly its not normal for a man to spend so much time polishing his fiesta! Whats that i hear you asking? oh how did i come to be in possesion of this very rare peach of a car? well to anwser i must take you back to last friday when a gentleman came to view the z4 i had for sale. after some bartering i eventually accepted the fiesta and some magic beans in payment. ( I think we all know who got the deal of the year there ) Now dont get me wrong im no fool and usually id never do such a deal but after seeing his fiesta ghia i quickly and astutley realised the value it held what with its very low mileage and clean unabused curves! He swore blind that he gave £1500 for this car in december but i took him for an idiot as it must be worth at least ten times that! End of the day you just wont find another 1.25 zetec fiesta ghia in silver with 60,000 miles, mahogany dash, power steering, remote central locking, headlight protectors and a full service history including folders full of reciepts and all mot's in this condition ever ( except this one ) for sale today for only 1001 ovno! stevie_b
What are these legendary headlight protectors you speak of? I own a mkIV Fiesta (like yours), and mine doesn't have them AFAIK. Yours jealously, Steve
TubbyTwo
piston heads dont have standard adverts anymore just premium ones u have 2 pay for :-( Yep £8 for 30 days. Which is still miles cheaper than ebay £15 for a month or autotrader which is £44 for 3 weeks.

stevie_b
I can't imagine what they look like. Are they bits of plastic that fit over the glass? Or little gloves to go over the headlights when the car's not in use?
l33wgn
Theyre about 6mm think plastic guards that sit just infront of the lights will add a pic when I get home
