Brilliant if you could that would be perfect  Do you know which is which part no. if not just post photo and explain which piece is what weight, if you see what I mean.

From looking at the EPC I suspect the fronts will be a little heavier, but I have the weight now of a Lexus front arm so can roughly guess this.

:thanks:

Everything still has the part number stickers on mate. I'll get them weighed tomorrow :)

please help  I know Paul Whiffin replaced *everything* on his, but he wasn't particularly chatty when it came to the details :(

Particularly chatty? When have you tried to have a chat with me about this? Let me know if you need any info on this, I did a full suspension rebuild on my car earlier this year and bought all the bits from Toyota Japan, plenty of money to be saved doing it this way.....

sorry mate I didn't mean to sound cuntish ;) I just remember a couple of us asking some questions but not hearing anything back. I know you don't live your whole life on the board like some of us though. Is buying from Toyota Japan difficult?

I weighed them today, but left the sheet of paper in the garage. In total all the rear parts were around 18kg. I'll post the details tomorrow.

hmm that's interesting. the Daizen's are poly though. I'll see what Rich says, although I expect his bushes to be the Vlamos ones.

I have the polyurethane mkIV bushings in stock, I can overnight them if you need it.

thanks for the offer Arnout, but I'm trying to stay away from poly due to the squeaking noises. My car just feels like shit over rough ground, but it's drivable.

some people say they are happy with the Poly bushes, but others say they start to squeak after a while, even the graphite-impregnated ones. Unless you regrease them of course.

I have spoken to Rich, and he seems like a nice guy. No idea where his bushes come from because as I understood it, Toyota don't sell rubber bushes on their own.

Rich wants £200 for the four front lower bushes, which is £40 less than the Vlamos/VFT bushes.

Actually the TRD ones are cheaper, as I've just noticed that the £200 price you mentioned was only for 4 pieces. Here are the prices.

TRD Front Upper Arm Bush x 4 = £209

TRD Front Lower Arm Bush x 2 = £96

TRD Front Lower Arm Bush - Rear x 2 = £80

TRD also still do the following rear bush, which I think is the missing one you mentioned from my Toyota list the other day.

TRD Rear Lower Arm Bush x 2 = £25

Sorry it's taken me so long to get the individual weights for the rear control arms. But here they are :D

52271-14080 0.8 Toyota Rear Mount Bush

52205-14040 1.4 Toyota Rear Mount Bush RR-RH

52206-14030 1.4 Toyota Rear Mount Bush RR-LH

52272-14040 Toyota Rear Upper Mount Bush

48770-19025 1.6 Toyota Rear Upper Arm - RH

48790-19025 1.6 Toyota Rear Upper Arm - LH

48780-14030 0.8 Toyota Rear Lower Link

48730-14040 2.2 Toyota Rear Lower Arm - RH

48740-14070 2.2 Toyota Rear Lower Arm - LH

48725-14070 Toyota Rear Lower Arm Bush

41651-14020 Toyota Rear Diff Case Bush No.2

41651-14010 0.6 Toyota Rear Diff Case Bush No.3

45503-39095 0.5 Toyota Tie Rod Inner

The parts I missed out were just little bits of rubber which weigh nothing.

One thing though, the car was in the garage getting some of the parts fitted yesterday and the guys there said I was missing a couple of bits. They've recommended I get the rear drop links and anti roll bar bushes, since these are only small bits and should definately get replaced since I'm doing everything else.

Hope this helps and sorry again about the delay! :)

Well i have now fitted the front and rear control arm bushes and the bilstein dampers.

What an improvement this has made, the turn in and positive feel from the car now is a vast improvement, the dampers are much more composed over bumps and still allow a reasonable ride.

Im still taking it easy as i have to re learn the feel of the car and i need to get a full wheel alignment but so far so good.

I will update in a couple of months to let you know if i get any squeaks!!

All i need now is the uk brakes and some money :D

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Nic for supplying me with my bilstein dampers and for saving me a considerable amount over Uk prices.

:thanks:

cheers

Good to hear the car is running well, did you get the alignment done yet?

Not as yet just got it out of the bodyshop so that is next on my list of things to do, along with fitting my polished manifold and throttle body.

Ooooo shiney

:Plug: do you need a [thread=45122]carbon fibre effect engine cover[/thread] to go with that sir :innocent:

TBH photos don't really do it justice, looks really  in real life
