RobSheffield
seemed quite odd tbh - i know that tarentino...but its odd having the normal charecters in a different 'genre' so to speak
Matt T
Thought it was pretty good, didnt have much 'Tarantino' about it though

Ian C
Very good, very gritty and harrowing. I defy anyone to watch that and not think "I'm glad it's not me in the box"... The board game bit at the start and the nightmare sequence of Nick's autopsy were Tarantino, the rest was impressive as he worked within the CSI parameters rather well. Talented guy, whether you like his films or not (which I do). -Ian

What was the point of the board game bit?
RedM
It was pretty good. Another QT moment was Stokes and Warwick in the locker room. That kind of semi-pointless chat that QT makes so interesting.
Getrag
And the 2 girls both shot in the head????? (or were they?) And the blood splatter analysis? And did anyone spot the recurring theme....horses/farms/cowboys.
Getrag
...and the star guests, hinting at Mafia stuff maybe, QT.
JohnA
I found this to be the weakest CSI episode by a big margin. The dialog was unnatural, the story was padded and weak - not enough material for 2 hours. Very disappointing. It reminded me of a Columbo episode near the end of his career, that was totally out of character. I just hope that the rest of series 5 hasn't dropped to that level (I've got the DVDs up to series 3 and the vast majority of episodes range from very good to brilliant)
michael
I found this to be the weakest CSI episode by a big margin. Do you ever get tired of going against the grain?
dane_stone
Kopite you want to start watching CSI Miami I find it alot more enjoyable viewing for some reason. http://rds.yahoo.com/S=96062883/K=csi+miami/v=2/SID=e/l=IVI/SIG=12kipag1m/EXP=1121931272/*-http%3A//www.sofiamilos.com/photos/csi_miami_photo_standing_lg.jpg http://rds.yahoo.com/S=96062883/K=csi+miami/v=2/SID=e/l=IVI/SIG=11shnbmvs/EXP=1121931742/*-http%3A//doug.le.home.comcast.net/csi5.jpg

michael
What grain dude, I was disappointed, I found it a very weak episode, that's all. Fair enough, I enjoyed it.... there have been weaker ones in my opinion but I guess it depends what floats the old boat
JohnA
I am pleasantly surprised by the consistently high quality of scripts and production. They've done a very good job with CSI I think. This one was more 'political', bringing the publicity of the 'Tarantino' name (any series preparing for a 6th series needs some boosting), and good for Tarantino's falling stock as well. wannasupra
Does anyone know who the actor was that played the suicide bomber guy? It was good to see Tony Curtis getting a cameo as well.
Gaz Walker
Loved it, you could tell it was QT through and through. Only thing is Five mixed in the adverts with his classic transitions which makes you go WTF? Great viewing. Gaz.

michael
He had played against Bruce Lee, hadn't he? Indeed - John Saxon (Roper in Enter the Dragon) http://www.bruceleereview.co.uk/images/etd_gallery_roper1.jpg
JohnA
yep, that's the dude. He lost to Bruce Lee though, maybe that's why he blew himself up eventually...

Getrag
So....anyone have any ideas about what the 2 blondes tied up was all about? Or was that just a random subplot hinted at.
michael
I just viewed the twins as "this is what they were working on just before Nick went missing" and left it there, could have been any old case I guess, they just made it slightly more interesting by having the DNA thing being raised, quick fix in a short timescale? Gil was a bit out of character though - "Two heads are better than one" Cheese

Oh Christ, yes, the adverts, I swear there were about 2 more sets than usual and they lasted longer, the fuckers. It's like ITV + F1 only it's ruining something decent instead Didn't they do the last adverts at a massively inappropriate time as well, IIRC? -Ian
