staples230uk
As per the title, first time buying discs and pads, so looking for recommendations. Had a look at fleabay but unsure whether these are reputable. Thanks for your time
Parry_10
I would never put good and cheap in the same sentence for something as important as brakes bud. Not an area you want to be trying to save money

staples230uk
Yeah I'd put quality over price anyday with brakes, just wondering which ones people would recommend. Hence why I did not go down the ebay route lol.

Chris Wilson
As per the title, first time buying discs and pads, so looking for recommendations. Had a look at fleabay but unsure whether these are reputable. Thanks for your time If you are on a budget I have several sets of really good used J-Spec front discs, and one set of superb used UK rear discs. E-Mail for prices, can do a great price on P&P, too. Dnk
Whether you have an NA or a 400 HP TT Toyotas O/E discs and pads are more than up to the job. Its all i've used in 15 years If its not been done or you simply dont know i'd recommend you change the brake fluid at the same time, maybe even fit some braided lines while your at it Edited August 4, 2011 by Dnk (see edit history)
staples230uk
Thanks for all of the advice guys, chris you will have a pm winging it's way to you.
Dnk
As a safety tip if you do bleed the brakes dont overtighten the bleed nipples as the caliper castings are prone to cracking ! Also Chris doesnt do pm's, better to call or email him

Shane
There is a guy on fleabay i think his id is mtec100 or something like that, he's based in NI and he does Mintex discs at a good price for the supra. I have had a few sets from him now, as has my son on various motors. Mintex are not Toyota, but they have been around for years and I have never heard any horror stories about them. benkei
tcbparts.co.uk have genuine Toyota discs and pads at around half the price of anywhere else. Myself and a few other members have bought some, postage is next day too. Top quality parts and really good prices. What more could you ask?
