Suprab1
Lately i've been buying cars & doing what ever work needs done to them before selling them on. Now the latest micra needed a little touch up on the near side wing, tbh the buyer didn't mind the little dent but i wanted to test my skills filling & spraying. So i masked it all up & done 1/4 of the wing but when i took of the tape i'm left with a straight line where the tape was I'm thinking smooth the joint & mist spray where they meet. Will this make it less noticable or is it wishful thinking?
dude
You would dust paint around the repair so it goes nowhere near the edges and laquer the whole panel

Hopefully it looks a little better
dude
Sound, so i will dust paint where my new paint meets the old paint & re laquer the whole wing. Hopefully it looks a little better each coat goes a little further out than the last, so the the diff is very graduated, just compound the wing as that will key enough for the laquer to sit ok, use a decent laquer in a can designed for refinishing (diff nozzle). halfords sell one in a orange tin I think from the same firm who make the Acid etch primer in the red can

Tricky-Ricky
I presume your trying to do this with rattle cans? and is it metallic? Blending never really works well with cans, it needs a decent gun and a fair bit of skill/practice, as you need to use almost neat thinners at high ish pressure with low volume of liquid, its not easy. Rob_Mitchell
through a rattle can= good luck, would look worse and stand out like a sore thumb. if using a decent gun setup, you can blend and fade out using fade out thinners then once dry flat it.... ideal situation though is to get the panel done.
