suprasize
Okay, I have a iphone 3gs for sale, prestine condition, will.come with a charger. The only.issue is this is my iphone I lost so claimed on my phone insurance for a replacement (there for it was blacklisted), dont think its a issue as the.phone works fine (havent tried it yet with a sim card.however). As you can see from the pics its in excellent condition as I could find it until we pulled apart the couch to find the TV remote. I only want £150 not including p+p. Message me if you interested :-). Thanks, Dan

GazzaGSi
If it was lost and you claimed on insurance isn't this blocked on all networks now? Or is it the replacement you are selling?
suprasize
Im not 100% sure, this is the lost phone. Im sure they can be unblocked pretty easy. Ill have to.check though... Anyone else know about unblocking a iphone?
Notts_TT
I took a blocked iPhone I found to be unblocked and the shop said all it's good for now is using it as an iPod, even jailbreaking it did no good... Mother in law has it now as an iPod.
GazzaGSi
You can unlock to all networks so it would accept the sim but still wouldn't get a signal unless if it was sold abroad. It's the IMEI number that's blocked to receive the signal not the network it was on.
Brazil
Can you try with a different sim card find out if its unblocked please. Interested. Edit: I just read the above..! It's a bit risky for me...!
suprasize
It.should work fine in any country outside the UK, they only block the imei number which is valid in the UK. The other restrictions would be for the phone yo be used in orange as this was the server who blocked the service... :-) check the internet, let me know if your still interested Can you try with a different sim card find out if its unblocked please. Interested. Edit: I just read the above..! It's a bit risky for me...!

CJ
Ignoring the blocked issue, is this phone unlocked to work on all networks (as in mine over here in Greece) or will I have to get it unlocked. If it needs unlocking (network wise) how easy is that to do?
Noz
as a ballmark on price, shops here in the Uk usually charge 10 pound to unlock phones

SupraDan24
It would probably be easier to have it unlocked over here, then sent out to you i would have thought. There's places everywhere round the UK that do it.

CJ
If the phone has been blocked, is it still possible to access whatever is needed to jailbreak and unlock the network side of things?
penguin
to jailbreak, goto jailbreak.me (on the iphones browser) and the automated process will do it for you... for the network unlocking side of things - not sure :-\
CJ
I am bit concerned because after looking on the net the general consensus of opinion is that the IMEI number is blocked on a central database throughout the EU.
CJ
I also forgot to ask... I am assuming it is an Iphone 3 not a 4? Stupid question I know but I thought I had better ask
