bodilx6
Any easy way to make to windows move up/down quicker? As most older cars they are getting a bit slow. Is it a new motor that is needed or does anyone have a nice tip to make them move quicker?
bonus_2000
I think I remember my driver's side window doing this, it turned out to be the window winding mechanism. The cable was getting frayed, and eventually broke (then the window fell into the door). You can replace the mechanism separate from the motor though, don't think it was that much money from what I can remember.

Lee_e
i think they have always been fairly slow,, i replaced my mechanism as some of the cable had frayed and was slowing it down.. after a new mech, its still not quick enough for my liking. dwayne
i havent had that problem on the supra yet but every other car that i have had that problem with was sorted with silicone spray in the window runners. not a fix but it does help them to work better untill the parts are replaced

bodilx6
It's not by battery either. It's been working at the same speed the 6 years I've had the car, so it might just be originally designed like that? I'll try to see if a bit of sillicone might work. If so, new mechanisms is the way forward. It's annoying to wait 5-6 sec per window when you park (or 8-10 sec or so if I do it at the same time)
