Ian W
Right chaps Today had one of our cars returned to us after a bit of a shunt (luckily the other person hit Susan's car and took full responsibility for it). There was paintwork required to both the wing and bumper at the drivers side near where they touch. Below is a picture of it: As you will see the colour and finish look pretty good, until you look closer. There are probably at least five or six of these little 'dots' under the paintwork which appear to be solid (it's been suggested this is possibly just dirt caught underneath while painting). My question is, would you deem this acceptable or would you send it back for them to redo it? Thanks for your help guys, will likely be phoning them in the morning! Havard
Not acceptable at all. If there is grit/dirt under there what about moisture or grease? I imagine in the winter that will become a mess and no one will want to know about re-doing it..!! H.

Paul
An insurance approved repairer? Send it back, tell them you will give them one chance to get it right and then insist on it going to a decent bodyshop of your choice if they fail to improve on it. Guest bradoz88
It sounds to me like you eather have pin holes in the primer/filler under the paint . You can't see these pin holes when prepping the cars as they are miniscule usually caused buy eather dust under filler or incorrectly mixed filler or primer getting to hot resulting in solvent pop. If your not happy with a colour match you can get panels blended to loose that hard edge of colour Take it back and bring it to there Attention and ime shore they will re paint the panels as Inshurance company's are the biggest headache going when things don't go right, Eather way if I sent a car out Like that I would expect it to be back and my job gone Hope that is of any help

L18msy
It looks like dirt in the paint. Take it back, it should flatten and polish out ok. Shouldn't need redone.
