Attero
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-14370878 To be perfectly honest with you... I've found that the majority of the time, this is true.

Gaz6002
How so? Well, it's right in front of me, works every time for all web pages that I use, doesn't do anything intrusive and TBH it just works. I read this article when it was first published, and if I'm being brutally honest it says more about BBC Online editorial policy and its readership than it does about what browser you prefer. Scott
I'm not really surprised by that to be honest. Geeks tend to have higher IQs than the average pleb and will generally stray away from the norm (IE). I'm only 50% geek so I use IE & Chrome. Ian C
Firefox was good, got rather slow and a bit crashy with v4, but thankfully I think v5 has fixed mostly this. I don't like IE for the singular reason that it even now seems to simply welcome viruses and trojans with open doors. As the majority of people use IE because, as you say, "it's right in front of me", that skews the results beyond any scientific value anyway. The sample set is from a much wider demographic. It's like surveying car ownership and saying "Owning an Aston Martin makes you rich" because most of the people who have a Ford Focus aren't

I'm looking mainly from the developers point of view, but there are plenty of other points of views to be looking at too.

stevie_b
IE has got better with standards conformity since the dark days of IE6 and earlier. Not sure how IE9 compares for standards compliance against FF, Chrome, Safari etc. I'm sure there's a web site about it somewhere, just can't be bothered to search for it. Firefox will be my weapon of choice as a developer, mainly for Add-ons like Firebug.

I thought IE9 was a great improvement over the previous versions but as i developed I found some pretty serious defects again. And for gods sake! They need to get rid of that bloody compatibility mode and just make it work!
