Chris Wilson
Just been through a little wooden arch into the front field with some of the dogs, as I do several times a day. I felt some insect in what hair I have left and flapped it away. Heard an angry buzzing and was greated with two quick stings to the back of the neck. A wasp pursued one of the dogs for a bit, and I carried on with their walk thinking nothing much of it. Went to get the other bunch and say an angry black cloud of wasps round the little archway and decided to have a cautious look. A wasp's nest has been built in a bird nesting box on the top of the arch. Will have to go out in the dark and give them some gassing tablets and a quick handful of tank tape over the hole. I hope they are heavy sleepers! I did consider a daylight assault with the flame gun, but they seem very agitated at the moment It's now war, and I intend to win with no mercy shown

Tannhauser
Just walk up to the nest and give it a full-on CW rant. Nothing can withstand that withering scorn for long You could berate them for being parasites* and living in a commune for a start. *Alright, they're actually parasitoids, but it's close enough. staples230uk
I dont know why, but up until a month ago I had never seen a hornet in the UK, had only seen the real nasty ones in afghan!! But for some reason we've had loads of them around our estate, and even had one fly into the supra whilst I was driving to work As for wasps I hate them.....kill 'em all
RedM
Is he not a murderer like my good self ? He is. I like to think that the wasps stung him as payback for past crimes.

Tricky-Ricky
Oh noes. You done missed the point. See above. You know the only point i really don't get, is the fact that you seem so militant, and being a vegan, and seemingly a possible animal rights activist, so surly by definition, you must also be a save the planet type tree hugger, so why the hell are you interested in the Supra, which is a pretty un environmentally friendly car, surly by definition you should be driving a Prius?
