marbleapple
Without it you will die a horrible death. Only joking. It's an undertray. It does what you would expect one to do.
Jamesy
We are producing our first batch of new SRD aluminium undertrays. Have a look in the SRD section and let us know if you'd like one

Tyson
?? You are going to put shiny aluminium where its going to get covered in crap and depending on how low your car is get pummeled with shrapnel from the road. Just seems a bit odd to me but each to their own an all that. Plus you won't see it, would it not be better in say stainless steel painted black? Aluminium will be the best choice. Also the undertray is important to the aerodynamics of the car. Air is forced through the engine bay and out under the car at speed. Well thats what the Toyota docs say anyway. Also the SRD aluminium undertray is half the price of a toyota flimsy plastic one. I have had two rip off at speed on mine. If its half the price of the toyota one I suppose you can't complain. I know it aids the aerodynamics of the car but will the this make any noticeable improvement over the standard Toyota one. I agree aluminium oxidises but won't fade or perish like plastic and become brittle with heat. It will also protect the underside of the car better than a thin bit of plastic. With regard to being any better than than the stock one, IMO no, not for aero purposes. But why pay double for something that does the job at half the price. Personally I'm just fed up of buying stock plastic ones that tear loose and scrape along the floor as you drive making the car look like a heap.
