Tee from China
Found this Quicksilver 2002 RZ with TRD wide body kit and the previous owner has replaced the instrument cluster with a full set of Defi gauges but has omitted to fit a speedo! Isn't a speedometer a legal requirement in Japan as well as in other countries? http://www.carsensor.net/usedcar/detail/CU0495831739/index.html?TRCD=200002
dude
Not in the UK, just a means of telling how fast you are going, rev counter or Sat Nav with GPS

Havard
This car has been the subject of threads before. Doesn't look good does it. H.
mr veilside
The little box on top of the dash looks like one of those speedo projectors. So i guess thats how he tells how fast he is going.
Tee from China
Not in the UK, just a means of telling how fast you are going, rev counter or Sat Nav with GPS Hmm, so just a means of telling how fast your going...exactly my point though, how do you tell? Not everyone has Sat Nav and the tacho only tells you how fast your engine is spinning and why are people stopped by the boys in blue for showing KPH and not MPH on their speedos if they aren't a requirement? also without a speedo how do you know or confirm the mileage? Just found this in the C&U 1986 regs F INSTRUMENTS AND EQUIPMENTSpeedometers35.—(1) Save as provided in paragraphs (2) and (3), every motor vehicle shall be fitted with a speedometer which, if the vehicle is first used on or after 1st April 1984, shall be capable of indicating speed in both miles per hour and kilometres per hour, either simultaneously or, by the operation of a switch, separately. Tee from China
Looked at the pictures of the dash again and the gauges appear to be mounted over the original cluster so a proper speedo may be lurking underneath!
