lads im sending money to the uk now and im been asked for the reeiver bank code

 

anyone know what this is i.e is it the receivers bank sort code etc

I have all the details but my banking account is asking me for the receivers bank code and im not sure if this is the sort code or not, dont want to try that incase thats wrong

When I transfer money to and from Ireland I need an IBAN number as Geo said.

IBAN and BICS are usually on your statements if you look for them. IBAN number starts with the letters IBAN... (surprisingly). If you are sending money to someone they need to provide you these details from their statement etc
