seba
Hey guys in my other thread i explained how i couldn't turn the key so i just couldn't start the car http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?251495-Key-worn-out-can-t-start-car... Now i know a push to start button is possible but is it also possible to have a push to start button in a supra without having to turn the key? If i would still need to turn the key i would find it pointless to install a button. Tomorrow a mate who knows more about this kind of stuff is coming to take a look, but just in case i wanted to get some info allready on here. I could just put another lock in there but was thinking about the button, how hard is it to install? The car does have an immobiliser. Surely someone has done this allready and can point me in the right direction Please don't start about how unnecesary it is and that it might look chavy as i'm well aware of that
ripped_fear
does not need to be chavy someone on the suprforums has made one and it is covered under insurance unlike most, i will try find the link. its subtle too fits in the stock key hole

Thx a lot ! I thought the steeringlock would be an issue but it seems it gets neutralised if you just take out the entire keymechanism, that's good news allready. Has anyone on this forum done this allready and how much did it cost? Because on the link those guys go pretty far, i don't need the car to unlock itself once i get in 5 meters distance of it, it would just unlock itself everytime i go to the toilet....
