MOT monday, car drives like poo poo!

Hey guys new issue with my fantastic car :)

I have recently done a full service where I changed Oil, oilfilter, sparkplugs, diffoil, auto-oil and O2 sensor. Also put the cat back in (with the little sensor) for the MOT.

Anyway car worked fine and since I drove it home it has just been waiting for my MOT.

I was going to change Thermostat but I got the wrong one so put the old back in again and also the main 120amp fuse went so as a temporary fix I put in a 100amp as it was the biggest I had at home.

Fired the car up today after putting the thermostat back and it drives like shit! Idle is haywire jumping up and down from about 1200-900rpm, idles ok for maybe 10 secs from startup and then goes back to jumping.

Turbos wont spool up if I dont crawl up in revs, as soon as I hit the gas anywhere near "hard" it wont load at all.

What am I missing here? It drove perfectly when driving it home from my garage and it starts up in a heartbeat.

Could it be that the engine wont get hot due to the thermostat and if there is anything that hinders boost on a cold engine?

Could it be my blitz boostcontroller that is f-ed as the battery has been off?

I would appreaciate any input as I have the registration on monday and there are no available times after that for atleast a month!

Did drive it for some time and still no change.

I found this (guessing its a vacuum hose) to the FPR, if I remember correctly was plugged before.

I have plugged it now and took the battery off and will try again, didnt work when I just plugged it and drove it.

What is it for, and should it really be plugged?

The reg is rising rate so it needs to see a vac/boost source, are you sure it is not the one for the map sensor, that would be why your car drives so bad.

Where does it connect? Cant find anywhere.

If you have a picture I would really need one :)

Tried to drive it plugged and the same shit, jumping idle and no boost over .4 bar then it just dies, like it cuts the fuel.

Also there is a cable that goes "arround" the thermostat housing, I dont think I did anything to it but can that cable cause any issues? It was connected when I checked it after putting in the thermostat.

cheers people, I really appreciate all help.

One end is connected to the map sensor (just under the electrical connection in your pic) the other end should be plumbed into the plennum and the tee pipe to fpr. (this is from distant memory as I fitted my Jun system a long time ago)

Vital connection, and NOT one that you should use silicone hose for, you should use a black rubber hose, like the stock one. Sorry if the correct `stat hasn't arrived, it should have been with you today.

Yeah the hose is far to soft to be good for that, will get new when I have the time... no I atleast have a fighting chance to pass the MOT :)

Hopefully it will give readings so I pass anyway, have fueled up with some stuff (dont know the enlish brand) that lowers the emission for awhile.
