seba
Need to take it of to do a little job, thought it was simpel but i just can't seem to pull it of. It's a stock 3spoke steeringwheel. I took the centersection of and then there is this big bolt in the middle. I took the bolt of thinking that was it but it's still stuck, do i pull harder? don't want to break anything. Thx Ps: this is rather urgent

skippyboyo1
easy buddy.right here goes youve already got to the point where you can see the big nut in the middle holding the actual wheel on yes? take that off which i guess you have done.now at this point mark the steering wheel and the actual threads so you can put it back on in the same position or this will cause you alot of work (i found out the hard way) now before you start the following make sure the philips screw is removed from the side....if you look it screws through the side of the steering wheel at the back as a safety thing im guessing. right now grab the wheel right at the top and bottom and "rock and pull" at the same time......its real tight and will put up a good fight but it will come off. Gordon F
Best to leave the centre nut on a couple of threads whilst doing the rocking and pulling in case the wheel suddenly comes off and hits you in the face

sideexitsupra
+1 for leaving the centre nut on a few turns. Saved me when I did mine. The worst bit was messing with the airbag. Made me very nervous but all went well.

Iky
how do you remove the airbag? i have to do this job with a 4spoke steering wheel and don't want to dissambemble something i don't need to. Thanks It's easy. Remove covers at either side of the rear of the wheel. Undo the torx bolt at either side T30 I think. Air bag will now pull off and flip over the white safety cover on the yellow connector. Unclip yellow connector and pull airbag out. To take the ful wheel off, undo 19mm nut a few turns and bang the bottom of your fist at 3, 6, 9 & 12 o'clock positions to loosen it. Unclip the white connector with black wire. Undo 19mm nut and pull it off. Sorted
