Paul R
Hi, Just got my car back from the bodyshop and bought a Stormforce car cover. Only thing is on the instructions it says not to cover a car thats been painted in the last 3 months? Anyone know why this is? I wanted to keep the car fresh as it came from the shop. Bit gutted as I planned to cover it straight away! Paul.
ronttuk
probably cause some paint needs to harden better check which paint was used and ask the painter

Havard
This would have been better. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?195025-Carcoon-system&highlight=Carcoon Will you give it a rest Jazz..!! Paul, I would leave it about two weeks before you cover it. I had my rear bumper done in February and left it a fortnight before I put the cover on. Never had a problem. H. jazz1
Like stated above you will not have a poblem so long as the car is free from water.
ScottC
I was also advised not to cover my supra after its respray. I think it had something to do with trapping moisture which would could get absorbed into the paint. I'm sure someone will be along shortly to correct me. Paul R
I phoned the guy at the bodyshop and he said that it should be fine to stick the cover over it. He said it's been baked for half an hour and the paint should be rock hard!
Bobbeh
I was advised the same after I had mine resprayed.. not happy after spending £150 on the cover.. but I will be using it at winter. They cant get the paint in the booth as hot as factory due to all the carpets and interior plastics inside the car... so the paint be that bit softer.
