Scott
I've been trying for the past 2 hours to get through to these guys for a quote. Is it normally this difficult? Phone either rings constantly or comes up with engaged tone. Even at that I think the engaged tone is due to someone trying to ring through at the same time as me and not actually because someone has answered. Not filling me full of confidence at the moment, heaven forbid I actually had an accident and was with them Admiral has seriously let me down this year. Fortunately I'm not insuring the Supra at the moment but even with the boring cars they have rocketed. Direct line are coming in with the best quote but I'm not so sure about losing out on 5 years no claims next year (currently have 13 and they only ever issue 9). Any other suggestions for run of the mill cars? 2004 Focus 1.8 zetec £2k value 10k miles and 2006 Mondeo 2.2 TDCI ST £6k value 10k miles. I've tried a few comparison sites and they can't touch direct line so I'm now using the walkie talkie with numbers on it.

dandan
Can't help with the telephone but I'm pretty sure LWIB won't keep you at 13yrs on the NCB either.
TopgunTT
I normally get straight through? They have about 4-5 people at once sat at the desk whenever i go in there. Strange?
stevie_b
I would suggest going with Direct Line, but keep Admiral's renewal notice that mentions 13 years' NCD, in case you want to subsequently move to another insurer that has a higher NCD ceiling than 9 years. TopgunTT
I normally get straight through? They have about 4-5 people at once sat at the desk whenever i go in there. Strange? I should add that they specialise in high performance cars? When i tried to insure a 1.2 punto with them it came in at more than the Supra. Scott
Thanks guys, I'll keep plugging away. Noone is getting close to Direct Line so I might need to bite the bullet unfortunately. Thankfully I have 2 13 year policies, I'll keep the other one full for the Supra Oh, I tried Aviva.... again couldn't get close to Direct Line.
