Scott
You're battery isn't holding a charge. Change the battery..... job done.
Ian C
1) Take the battery out of the car 2) Fully charge it 3) Leave overnight 4) See if it's still fully charged. If the answer to 4 is "no", it's new battery time
Jimmy James
Had a similar problem with a BMW 325 that I had. Kept putting new battery's in from halfords and always going dead after a couple days. Changed alternator, figured it was because my radio was wired wrong so it had constant power and everytime my phone rang in my apartment it would pick it up through the Bluetooth in the car and leave the radio on all night. Thus killing the new battery.

You're thinking about this issue all wrong bud. Unless really gubbed (shorted) the alternator won't have anything to do with your issue. When it doesn't charge... it doesn't automatically drain the battery. You are looking for a drain on the system. Has the problem been happening long? How long have you had the car? Have you had anything recently installed? Any audio equipment other than stock? You need to help us to help you, give as much information as you can

Scott
Surely the CD player installation has to be the fault then? Some stereo brands swap the +ive and the Ign+ wires, try switching the red and yellow wires at the back and see if the issue goes away. I had this issue years ago with my vectra, got the PC12 plug to keep the controls working and they were the wrong way around.
Guest ugp
Your best bet is to check the current draw across the terminals with a multimeter, then pull fuses for different circuits until you find where the drain is coming from.

Draw...across the terminals? To check your current draw remove the terminal and stick the multimeter in between the earth cable and the battery terminal. Just don't start the car or anything like that or you will melt your meter and god knows what. 10A is the max for most wired meters.
Guest ugp
Sorry I assumed people knew what I meant, not LITERALLY across the terminals!
Guest ugp
You shouldn't be drawing much more than 30ma. Mine's 22 with a tracker, an alarm, two inline immobilisers, gsm pager, and a carpc running in standby
Chris Wilson
Disconnect the (charged up) battery and see if it starts OK the next day, if it does suspect a current drain. Suspects are alarms, door switches, or aftermarket gizmos.
Thomas.B
If youve put in a sub with an amp you may have set it up wrong so the amp is always getting power.
SupraDan24
I had this problem with mine ages ago and it turned out to be the amp. Another culprit on my old car was the bulb in the boot not switching off when the boot was closed, i dont think the Supra has a boot light though. I know you said the problem was there before you installed the Alarm, but how about before you installed the Head Unit. Pop the old HU back in for a couple of days and see if it fixes the problem.
