grahamc
Well after nearly 3 years of ownership and the pending arrival of my new GTR, my STi is up for sale. After discussion with a couple of people, I have come to the conclusion that the STi and GTR are just to similar (AWD, turbo, 400bhp, etc) and I would prefer to get a Caterham or Ariel Atom as a track car. The aim of the car was not a track only car to be trailered to and from events, I wanted a little more go (target was 400bhp), decent handling and good brakes, in short, I wanted a track car that had the creature comforts (hmmmm, not so easy). It needed to behave nicely on the road and be suitable for track/event days. And this is what I ended up with.... Brakes *Performance Friction (2 piece disks) on the front *Grooved discs on the rear *EBC Bluestuff pads all round *Goodridge braided lines *5.1 fluid *Full refurb of the Brembo calipers by Godspeed Suspension *BC coilovers *Whiteline front 22mm adjustable ARB *Whiteline rear 24mm adjustable ARB *Front droplinks *Rear droplinks *Anti-lift kit *Front strut brace *Full alignment setup Engine *Andy Forest TD05-20g turbo (BOV removed) *850cc injectors *Walbro fuel pump *FMIC *Induction kit *Full 3" decat exhaust *ECUTek Remap by Simon AKA JGM *Battery replaced 4 months ago *Cooling plate This achieved 383bhp Interior *PSI3 unit added to monitor the ECU *Rollcage for the rear half of the car - nothing in the front half *Corbeau revolution seats the large ones for additional comfort - standard seatbelts retained for normal driving *OMP seat subframes *TRS 4 point harnesses *Rear seats removed *Rear firewall Sound system *Panasonic USB headunit *5.25" Apline front speakers *5.25" JBL rear speakers *6x9s rear parcel shelf Exterior *WRC style carbon mirrors *Carbon inserts for front wings *Smoked side repeaters *Mudflaps *Blue wheel nuts *Front tow hook removeable *Rear tow hook *Painted calipers (matte black with SUBARU decals) *Road wheels - 18" Rota GRA Wheels with Toyo tyres Other key bits of info: *2002 Subaru Impreza Prodrive STi (yes states Prodrive on the V5) *UK model *2 keys *Miles 71238 *FSH and loads of receipts from my ownership - including oil changes, etc *MOT - February 2012 *TAX - 31 January 2010 *HPi clear Some minor dent/stone chips as you would expect from a car this age I will include a set of 4x 18" Team Dynamics Pro wheels with Toyo R888 tyres. In excellent condition, lots of usage left and the car is truely a different animal on these And I will also throw in a JBL 12" sub, box and JBL 4 channel amp to sweeten the deal. Any questions, please ask.... These are the pics from the original PistonHeads advert (when I bought the car) - completely standard back then: Some pics... FMIC PF discs, bluestuff pads (not visible obviously), refurbed brembo calipers with Subaru decals Engine bay (needs a bit of a clean.... which I will sort next week, when I am back in the UK) Front seats - very comfortable Rear - stripped, firewall, rollcage (all seatbelts have been removed) quick sound clips of the new exhaust... at home so could not make too much noise hopefully you can hear the induction noise properly, as well as the chatter from the turbo - since the BOV has been removed

grahamc
looks good! glws! Thanks, its great fun to drive! Problem is that I will very shortly have to choose between this or a new GTR, and I am pretty sure the GTR is going to win every time??? So figured I would sell this and get myself an open top track car, like the Caterham or Ariel
grahamc
after reviewing PH, I think that my price is a little high, so dropping it to £7500, with the extra wheels, sounds bits, everything I have.
