Guest Timbo
Hi all, Guys at the weekend I replaced the stock manifold on my 1996 NA manual Supra, with an OBX stainless steel version which replaced the first Cat, the second cat is still in place and a Kakimoto Cat back system finishes the system. Upon start up the car has developed a horrible missfire, as a result it has caused a lumpy idle and is reduced on power. After getting some help on the forum ( many thanks guys ) resetting the ECU didn't work, I also checked all HT leads and plugs and dizzy cap, I replaced the rotor arm in the distributor, and all too no satisfaction. I am trying to eliminate the issue and need some help. I am I correct in assuming that if the problem lay with either of the 2 the O2 sensors a dash warning light would come on? as none are on in my case, any idea's
ManwithSupra
Is it a miss just at Idle or throughout the entire rev range?
Guest Timbo
The miss is from idle right up to around 4000rpm then it seems to dissapear, driving normally ( under 3000rpm ) the car chuggs along, I don't think it's a fuel delivery issue as it does not splutter at high rpm.
