Neil-NA
I have recently had some tein s-tech springs fitted along with KYB shock (just under 2 weeks ago), how long does it normally take for them to settle down to the correct ride height, they do seem to be getting lower more or less every day but the front is taking longer than the back, i assume this is because the fronts are stiffer than the rears is this correct? I bought them off sumo power and they were listed as being for the non turbo and drop the car 32mm front and 20 mm rear
Neil-NA
Right just had a quick measure of the height difference between my old stock shocks and these. Stock - F351mm R370mm Tein+KYB F350mm R350mm Now either the fronts are taking alot longer to settle down due to the higher spring rate or Sumo have sent me the wrong springs and these are ment for a TT And 2 quick pics - stock suspension Tein+KYB If thats the case do i have any comeback as they were purchased around 3 months ago but only fitted 2 weeks ago. Dnk
Never had this issue with my Eibachs or any other springs, if their too stiff to bounce each corner with the car stationary take the car for a drive and use a bit of heavy braking to load the suspension. Obviously in a safe quiet place
Chris Wilson
No decent spring should "settle" at all, even over a period of years. Are you sure the inner suspension arm bushes were not preloaded when fitting these, and the bushes are now twisting or tearing into a relaxed state? Not too sure Chris i will have to check that, out of interest do you supply springs that would suit the KYB shocks? its all road use, no track days ever and i would like the ride around 20mm lower than stock. Homer
My guess is they are srpings for the TT. THey should have a part number on them to reference
Chris Wilson
I can supply some, but would need to get a set made for the N/A, and add them to a batch of TT ones to keep prices sensible. may take a bit of time. Cost would be about £

Neil-NA
Just had a look, cheers mate. Apparently the Tein N/A and TT springs are the same weight @ 10kg front and 4.9kg rear but for the N/A they lower 32mmF and 20mmR where as the TT is 36mmF and 42mmR see here - http://www.tein.co.uk/installation_manual/toyota/JZA80_93-01.html Might just have to wait and get some off Mr Wilson.
