Guest Timbo
Hi all i need help / advice. I have a 1996 NA manual. I put a OBX stainless Steel manifold on an now the car will not run properly. Its like it is off the Timing. The only thing i can think of is the third o2 pre cat sensor. The new Manifold has no place for it to be inserted so i just tied it up out of the way. Is there a way to bypass, any body any suggestions?
Havard
Not sure if resetting the ECU will help but that would be my suggestion. H.
Nic
The sensor you have tied out of the way is a cat temperature sensor, it activates the cat overheat warning light on the dash, it has no effect on performance. Check the O2 sensors are plugged in properly, also check distributor cap and plug leads are all secured, you may have dislodged something whilst fitting the manifold. Guest Timbo
Thanks H for your help but it hasnt worked Nick ive checked everything an there is a slight chip on the rotor arm so that might be causing the upset. Again thanks for the help as an amateur mechanic i need it lol I will buy a new dizzy cap an rotor arm to see if this rectifies the issue
