supra87 Posted July 24, 2011 Share Posted July 24, 2011 hi all i will get straight to the point i baught a na supra couple of months back when driven it seems to stay in gear for a long time when staring off it will rev to 3/4k then it will change in to next gear i have checked the gear box oil it it looks fine does any one have any ideas ???? supraGZaerotop Posted July 24, 2011 Share Posted July 24, 2011 give the autobox a good service with toyota atf fluid, could do a full flush but you normally just change 2 litres at a time. will do the box a world of good. change oil, drive for a bit, change again until youve replaced 8 litres. supraGZaerotop Posted July 24, 2011 Share Posted July 24, 2011 ok thanks for the info i will give that ago do you think with it being stood for 2 years could of caused this ? maybe, but if its been stood for that length then who knows when the autobox was last serviced. aim to change up to 8 litres of only toyota ATF fluid, do not use any thing else and you will notice a big diffence, mine changed alot quicker after having the fluid changed, you'l notice a difference after the first change, but aim to change as much as you can.
