gavin.starr
A mate and I went out for a drive yesterday. As we were joining the motorway from 30mph up to 70mph he said that i has black smoke coming out in puffs, Not a constant screen of smoke but just in puffs. Then on the motorway i gave the pedal a press to overtake some one in 5th gear to around 80mph and he said it was doing it then as well. Is there something i need to have a look at as im a bit worried as it has never done it before. I know i have developed an oil leak somewhere which i cant find, as i had white smoke coming from the underneath the car as it has been flicking backwards whilst driving onto the exhaust. Marty
Black smoke is fueling matey, blue'ish is oil and white is steam. The stock fueling is set to run rich anyway so if you're car is bpu'd and you were giving it beans when the black smoke was occurring it probably is to be expected somewhat.
