Thomas.B
Hey all. I was just going to change my thermostat and removed the air-intake etc but I can hardly get my hand in! Some guys on here said they got it out that way but I cant see how I can get the bolts off as they are in an angle....? Dont want to remove the generator as I dont have the special tools... Any help would be nice
Thomas.B
Finally got it off from underneath the car Are aftermarket thermostats (from chris) supposed to be smaller then original?
dude
No they need to be the same size, or at least the same size when they are in their little rubber ring.

You just need 2 or 3 different size Spanners to get the alternator of. It's AFAIR 3 bolts that hold it in place, 1 bolt that holds the cable that goes to the battery and the connector. He prob means the torx bolt at the bottom, far easier to undop that than try slide it off.
Thomas.B
Ok have assembled everything and was going to check if it works anyway, need the car running soon. I got in contact with the alternator when reassembling everything and now the car wont do anything... checked the main fusebox under the bonnet and the small fusebox in the car... Am I missing something?
