LOGIE
I've only recently started using paypal and I made a purchase yesterday through Whifbitz (I know Paul's on holiday till 29th) My paypal account is saying that the payment is successful. Does Paul need to accept the payment before my balance drops? as my balance has not changed..
Gaz6002
The Paypal payment will go through, and then Paypal will draw the money from your account using Direct Debit. It isn't an instant thing.
Attero
It will normally take 5-7 working days IIRC for the funds to be removed from your account.

But once your money is gone... who's to say you can have it back? That's the only benefit of Paypal really.
TopgunTT
paypal = robbing [insert swear word] I'll always do a Bank Transfer, easier for me that way. I would never do a bank transfer again, Gruggs, ( Graeme ) made sure of that.

marbleapple
The length of time payment takes to arrive depends on how the payment is sourced. If you are using a switch card from an unconfirmed bank account then it is like a cheque, i.e. he is told the money has arrived but it doesn't reflect in his balance. If payment is made from a confirmed address then it is instant. Paypal is expensive but it is the way of eBay and it is very pro buyer. i think your's was a once off dude, i still think Gryggs will come through, even though its soooo late I think people are generally too trusting of other members. Just because you are in the club doesn't mean you won't steal/murder/sell dodgy cars. (Just a thought, not specially related to Gruggs). I would never send money trough paypall to a member with 0 or even 2 positive feedbacks. Sometimes it takes members so long to send something it makes you wonder if you just got ripped off. But on the other hand a member with 50 positivs is not a 100% reliability either. I do have more trust in members that have a long history on the forum, maybe not fair to the new users but that's the way it is i guess. Well from my experience it is usually the guys who are "trusted" on the site that end up taking advantage of it or upsetting people. We need to remember that behind the avatars are real people with very different lives and probably very different personalities to their forum selves. Just my opinion
